Pain (Part II)

This poem is not about love-

or writing my verses

all over you.

This poem is about you-

about that voice in you

that is always silenced.

This is about the tears

you cry behind the

bathroom door.

This is about you

strangely

staring at yourself

in the mirror.

This is about that child

in you that is oppressed

and rejected.

This is about questions-

unanswered questions.

This is about forgiveness

and reasons why you wont

let go.

This poem is not about Love-

No- this is about YOU-

This is about PAIN:

you start strong
get stronger in the second stanza
and bloody lose me in the third!!!

But..the second stanza is "mad-crazy" dawg!!

And yes I am expecting your ass over at mine for an honest critique! :-))

Fix the last line the conjunction is necessary between "about" and "this"

I like the tone you take Robyn through this piece. it builds in intensity leading the reader to think you are talking to another, instructing them. It slams me when I realize the narrator is talking to himself.

absolutely (as usual) stunning.

Makes you take a moment, be introspective, think, pause...love it!

Yet, it feels very much like a healing poem as well. Asking those questions - those hard questions - that make you wince and look away and not want to see yourself in what you really are. This was excellent. A shedding of layers that has held your true self stagnant....
